While we are not real estate Appraisers, it is pretty well known that outdoor living areas add value to your home.
"Outdoor living and kitchen areas are one of the hottest trends in real estate today. An outdoor kitchen is one of the best improvements you can make as you can easily recoup 100% of your investment in added value and the sell-ability of your house." says Bryan Brickman, GRI, ABR, RE/MAX Premier Group, www.BryanBrickman.com - 9. OK, I am building an outdoor environment, do I need more property insurance?
-
Answer:
While we are not insurance agents, it is always a good idea to contact your insurance company when making additions to your home. Outdoor environments will not be covered under most policies unless you add them on after the construction.
