Class Description

Rob Russell is back to get us ready for the upcoming BBQ Season!  Rob has been cooking Competition BBQ for decades both in restaurants and on the circuit.  He is part of 8-Time American Royal Grand Champion BBQ Team Three Little Pigs, Ace of Hearts BBQ Specialties and the man knows his stuff!  If you want to learn how the pros do it, then this class is for you! 

Class Type

BBQ Smoking Class.  There will be some hands-on portions, but this will be primarily a lecture based class.  

On the Smoker

• Pork Spare Ribs
• Chicken
• Pork Shoulder(Butt)
• and more!

Experience Level

This class will have something for everyone.  From Beginners in BBQ to Competition Teams, there is information and tips that will take you to the next level of BBQ Greatness.  We will specifically discuss BBQ Competitions and what the judges expect.

Other Information

This Class is BYOB. We will have water and soft drinks, but if you would like your favorite adult beverage, feel free to bring it...cooler space is limited.  Come hungry...there will be lots of great Q to sample!

The Paddy Dash 5K Run is on its 4^th year and The BBQ Competition is the newest addition to this great charity event!  Paddy Dash benefits many local charities in Collin County, and this year we wanted to bring in some of the best local BBQers to spice it up!  The Paddy Dash BBQ Competition will be going on all throughout the day in conjunction with Paddy Dash and cooks will be allowed to start cooking right after the cooks meeting on Saturday Morning…around 8am.  There will be many other fun family activities including: bounce houses, silent auction, smoker raffle, product demonstrations, face painting, and more!  Proceeds will go to our great local and natrional charities listed below.

***Special Note: Per Frisco Fire Marshall and city Ordinance, all smokers or grills must be outside of any tent. No Competition Cookers' tents may be larger than 10' X 10' without applying for a separate permit.
